A family thing, four generations deep
David and Theresa Hall met in 2001. He was driving a truck; she was working at Tractor Supply down in Haines City. A few months later she and her daughter Amanda moved up to Fort White so they could all be together.
They've built a few things since then. A fencing and decking company. Years back behind the wheel. A stretch selling pest control. North Florida Gutter Services, which David still runs today.
The microgreens started at home. The family was rethinking how they ate, and growing it themselves seemed like the place to start. It worked well enough that they figured other folks might want some too.
That's North Florida Microgreens: four generations, all of them in it. David handles the planting and growing. Theresa runs the freeze-drying, powdering, and packaging. Her mother Jo Ann helps with harvesting. Amanda works the freeze-dryer. Louis grows alongside David. Grandson Daniel keeps the trays clean.
Most evenings they still end up around the same dinner table.

David and Theresa have lived in the Lake City area since 1996 and have been in business together since 2004, starting with D & D Fencing and Decks. They were married at the Olustee Festival during the reenactment. David still runs North Florida Gutter Services alongside the farm, and handles the planting and growing here.
Trevor Tummond, CEO
Trevor was born and raised in Jacksonville. He and his wife moved to Lake City after getting married to start their own chapter. After leaving the banking world, he met David chasing a new entrepreneurial dream, and the rest is history.
